Niemiecka Centrala Wymiany Akademickiej (DAAD) świętuje w 2025 roku swoje stulecie. Od momentu założenia w 1925 roku wsparcie od DAAD otrzymało około trzech milionów studentów i studentek oraz naukowczyń i naukowców z Niemiec, Europy i całego świata. Jako organizacja promująca międzynarodową wymianę naukową, DAAD w jubileuszowym roku szczególnie podkreśla znaczenie współpracy akademickiej ponad granicami, zwłaszcza w obliczu współczesnych napięć i kryzysów geopolitycznych.

Głównym wydarzeniem obchodów będzie uroczysta gala, która odbędzie się 6 maja w Humboldt Forum w Berlinie. Jubileuszowi towarzyszyć będą liczne wydarzenia i inicjatywy zarówno w Niemczech, jak i za granicą, w tym wydanie specjalnego znaczka pocztowego przez niemieckie Ministerstwo Finansów.
